Dear Central School Families,

The evening will begin with a Title I Presentation in the Media Center at 4:00 p.m. Following the presentation, families are encouraged to stop by the Resource Station, Book Fair and visit classrooms to check in with your child’s teacher. This is a wonderful opportunity to see what our students have been learning and experiencing this school year!

Upcoming Testing Dates! During the month of September students from 3rd to 12th grade will be evaluated throughout the school year to monitor their progress.

Students in grades 3 through 12 will be assessed using the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) test. This progress monitoring tool will be administered three times per year to track students' progress in learning the Benchmarks of Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards throughout the school year.

In addition to progress monitoring high school students will also be offered testing opportunities this fall as students work towards fulfilling graduation requirements.

Hello Central School Jaguars!

Greetings and welcome back to school! Today was a great start to the 2025-26 school year. I hope each of you had a great summer break and are ready to get back into the swing of things.

Tomorrow we will be covering the Code of Student Conduct school wide. Students be sure to pay attention!

A few reminders as we move forward:

Our school start time is 8:10. Students may begin coming on campus at 7:45 a.m. The school day ends at 2:24 p.m.


Central School will follow Santa Rosa County's Code of Student Conduct for dress code. You can access this by going to the school district website and clicking on “Resources & Services” - “Parents” - followed by the “Code of Student Conduct” link. The dress code section is located on page 28.

All K-8 students are not permitted to use cell phones during school hours.

The first day of school is just around the corner! We cannot wait to begin another wonderful school year here at Central School! Below are a few important announcements for the 1st day!

•Schedules are available in Focus. If you are unable to access Focus, visit Student Services Hallway or the Cafeteria to locate your first period teacher. First period teachers will have a printed copy of each students schedule.

•Student drop off begins at 7:40 a.m., classes begin at 8:10 a.m.. Students must be dropped off in the designated car rider area. Please see attached map for car rider location. Our car rider line is designed to be double lane. Please be courteous and attentative of car line monitors/SRO. Please do not drop students off at the front of the school or gym area. As you enter campus from Allentown Road car rider is to the left. A right hand turn should be reserved for our student drivers who are arriving to school. The Student Parking area has been extended students MUST park in a designated parking spot. Students parked in an unauthorized area will be subject to ticketing and asked to move.

•Elementary students can be dropped off in the car rider line. Please make sure your Junior Jaguar is ready to go when you are in the car rider line. We kindly ask that parents please stay in the vehicle when dropping off. We assure you that we will have all hands on deck to help your Junior Jaguars make it safely to their location.

•K-2 parents will be allowed to walk your student to class on the first day. Parents must have a photo id and we kindly ask that you stay no more than 5 minutes with your student so they can get settled in for their day.

•Students not eating breakfast should report directly to first period each morning. Students eating breakfast should go to breakfast and then report to class.

•Student decals will be available for pickup/purchase during High School Lunch! Students must complete a parking application before purchasing a 2025-2026 decal. https://www.santarosaschools.org/o/cs/page/parking
